Founder and owner of IAI. Intelligence experience since 1984.
Carl McDonald founded Intelligence Analysis, Inc. in March 2006 and remains its owner and president. He has worked in intelligence since 1984, including service as a US Navy intelligence analyst. Since 2016, he has specialized in supply chain risk management. He holds Project Management Professional (PMP) and Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) certifications.

Barry is a 22-year veteran of the US Air Force, specializing in counterintelligence and criminal investigation. Assignments in CENTCOM and AFRICOM gave him a close, in-depth look at the challenges in those regions. His commercial career includes program management in counterintelligence, supply chain risk management and systems engineering and technical assistance (SETA). At Lockheed Martin, he managed a multi-year contract providing over sixty expert analysts to a national-level intelligence agency. He worked at IAI as a counterintelligence analyst from 2017 to 2018 and returned as chief executive in August 2025.
